Though August was a tremendously important month for us all (with a mixture of elation over finally "getting" the girls, sadness over Guinness, stress with living in a tiny hotel in Russia, etc. - you all know, you've been following along!), I'm ready for September. It is one month closer to my favorite month, October. It also is the month my brother and his wife will visit (late in the month, but still in September!) and the KC weather begins to sort of transition between summer and fall - sort of.
It also marks the first time the girls will mark the first of the month at home. Every month now that appears is one month farther along the adjustment process, which will be nothing but good!
We're all tired here; girls are sleeping and Bri and I are headed up. Just thought I'd share a few pics of the girls in their first sprinkler extravaganza and one of them enjoying some wonderful food that my wonderful friend brought.

I love September! It is my daughter's birthday today, and our anniversary later this month.
The girls look happy! They just look like they have been here forever and know exactly what to do!
Enjoy this time with them. All too soon they will be off to school learning who knows what from the friends.
