You want coffee...you know you do! (An exciting fundraising announcement!)

Oh my goodness! What are you going to give your friends and family for the holiday season? What are you going to take as a hostess gift to all of those wonderful parties? After your Thanksgiving, Hanukkah or Christmas dinner, are you going to brew a pot of java?

Our adoption journey has been a journey of love but the reality is it's also been a journey of money. Yes, we chose to follow this path but lately I've been wondering about a fundraiser of some kind. Today someone on one of my adoption boards posted about this coffee company that allows fundraisers for adoption funds!

If you go to http://www.justlovecoffee.com/ShrinerAdoptionJourney you'll be on our personal storefront where you can buy single or multiple bags of coffee - just scroll down a bit to see the offer and add to your cart. The wonderful news? We'll receive $5 from each bag you purchase!

Please read about this wonderful company and how they added to their family through adoption - and how their journey led to other wonderful things, such as this coffee company!

Any word-of-mouth marketing would be great, too - if you have an opportunity to let folks in your world know about our storefront and the portion we receive to help with our adoption expenses, that would be so appreciated.

We hope to have some really exciting news to share very, very soon!

Scary Thursday; thinking of Ft. Hood

Panic set in as news broke of the horrible shootings at Ft. Hood; Brian's Uncle Rick is employed there. I sent a panicked text message as the news was saying not to try to call cell phones. I was SO relieved when the phone rang and I heard Rick's voice. He was on base, in lock down, but was OK, though he did say he'd been somewhat close to some of the events. All I could tell him was that we loved him and were so overwhelmingly glad to know he was OK.

We're thinking of all of the friends and families who didn't hear their loved one's voice ont he end of the line yesterday; we're so, so sad and sorry for and with you.
