The girls passed their medical exams today with flying colors. A rep from our agency came and we filled out lots of Embassy paperwork. Then we walked to a local park that used to be hunting grounds for royalty...but nothing was open, despite it being 10 a.m. So, the girls thought we were cruel by marching them past locked playgrounds and fun things and then didn't understand when we said we couldn't go in, despite us showing them the locks. Sigh. Finally around 11 we found a playground that was unlocked and they got to play before we went to McDonald's for lunch.
The girls are finishing a nap right now and after we're taking a tour of Moscow, provided by our agency. I'll be glad to get some pictures of them in Red Square. Then we'll have dinner - McDonald's, again, because the hotel is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive with a "buffet" that has like 4 items on it; the breakfast buffet is inlcuded in our room and is wonderful, but dinner, as we discovered last night, not so much. But, we couldn't leave once we got there because once you launch the food sequence with the girls you have to follow through quickly!
Tomorrow we'll go to our interview at the US Embassy. Our rep thinks we'll have everything done by tomorrow evening. If that's the case, Brian will call the airlines and beg and plead to see if there's any way we can leave on Thursday. Second choice Friday. Third choice Saturday. Last choice Sunday, which is when our flight is booked. Please pray that we're able to wrap everything up tomorrow and that we could be in the air jetting toward home on Thursday!

Praying for everything to get done and you can get home early!! When we were in Moscow we finished up early as well and were able to convince the airlines to get us on earlier flights home.....the girls are just beautiful!!! Hope you enjoyed the Moscow tour! Keep us updated.
Hoping you can come home ASAP! Whatever it takes, just pay it to come home. I never regretted one dime that we paid to make our adoption 3 trips a little more bearable! You can make up the money once you get home - just jump on a plane and get those darling girls the the USA!

The Embassy visit was very smooth. I think we got everything done in one trip - but I do not remember. You also cannot take any recordable devices into the embassy. We had several families at the embassy with us and there is a little bit of a wait. There is a small play area, but you are mostly on one floor, while you wait your turn. A couple books &/or snacks may come in handy. The workers there are very friendly and so supportive of the new families, getting through everything as quick as they can.
Once you have everything from them, your last hurdle should be changing your flights. Good luck with that!!

So glad you got back to Moscow! Are y'all staying at the Courtyard Marriot? If you are, then go to the Flat Iron restuarant in the Lobby one night and get the ribs. I promise you won't be sorry. Make it a splurge night all though it's not that expensive but more expensive than McDonalds.
Hi! Where are you staying in Moscow? We're at the Grand (and it sounds like you might be too based on outrageous prices for buffet :) )...and we also have our Embassy appt today as well. Hope we run into each other!
I do hope you continue to let us know what you all are up to once you get home! We'd enjoy hearing about the stories of the adventures of the girls.
