Universe: None of this is a complaint, whatsoever! Just the facts!
This is going to be a long court trip!
We'll likely travel on a Monday, arrive on Tuesday, do medicals and orphanage visits on Wednesday and Thursday, have half a day of court on Friday, have a weekend, endure some kind of holiday on Monday (I need to research what this is) and then have the second court sitting on Tuesday then travel Wednesday.
Wow!
P.S. To answer Anonymous' comment: Yes, we have two court sittings. Apparently the judge does a 1/2 day session all about documents and other information filed with the court and then on the second 1/2 day does more questioning about your family, household, parenting ideas, etc. At least that's what we've been told.

On one of our trips, we had some 'downtime' so we took the walking tour of Tver with another adopting couple. It was very nice. We also got the kids some gifts for when they are older at that time.
When we went to court it was the judge switch & he decided to do everything in one day. This was new to even the Russian prosecutor as well as the stenographer and translator. He did not do too much questioning of our documents. He mostly asked questions playing 'devils advocate & what if'. What if you lose your home to a hurricane, are you getting 2 children to divide them in case you get divorced, who does the house cleaning, what if the primary wage earner loses their job.
I dont know about your judge -- good luck -- just don't try to corrrect the judge on the absurdidty of the likelihood (or not) of a particular weather storm happening -- like my guy did..sigh..but we made it through.
That is quite a long trip, thanks to those medicals for adding on some time! And, what the heck, why not throw in a holiday?? But hey, those girl will be coming home forever :o) We can do it!!! So excited for you all.

I'm going to play devils advocate for a minute. I know this is a very exciting time in your lives and those you share it with. This adoption is a good thing! The girls will have a loving home.
Here is something you may not have thought of, but you will have to deal with. This will be scary for the girls. You are taking them out of the only home they have ever know. They are leaving behind the only friends they've ever known. They don't know what is on the other side of the door that you are offering. They may not want hugs (just yet)as they aren't used to people touching them. They may have nightmares and feel insecure about the world around them. It will be a rough road ahead of them emotionally as well as everything else.
Just be patient and love them and you will see their world fall into place!
