I spoke with our adoption consultant today and now know that the one other family from our agency who are registered in our region of Smolensk (they had requested a girl) have received their referral but have not yet travelled. Our consultant is going to try to see if the region will allow us to have a referral while another family is in the midst of one, or if we have to wait until theirs is farther down the line before we can reasonably expect a referral.
So, now news, but information. Just waiting. Still. More. Always.
