A little bit of acceptance goes a long way

I can finally update the blog! We have an update! Insert excited woo hoo's or hoots and hollers of your own liking here.

Today we received word that our application to work with the agency of our choice was accepted - so we can now say things like, "Our adoption agency" or "We have an agency" or "Did you hear from the agency today?" All of these are good things!

So, you say, what's next? We're asking the same thing! We do know that we will be paired with a consultant (aka hand holder) who will guide us down the paths of this new journey. We also know we're earmarked a large packet of information that's specific to the agency's Russia program, with all sorts of checklists, instructions, timelines and detailed information at a much deeper level than the basic introductory information on the agency's website (and if anyone's interested, that address is here - then click on the Russia program for more information: http://adopt.childrenshope.net/). We're hoping that stuff comes soon so we can dive into the financing pool and figure out just which financial institution we're going to hit up to help us fund this little project. Then I'll start to bore you with incessant posts about things that are really exciting to us!

Thanks, as always, for your collective excitement and support - it means the world to us!
